*It is said that the longest-lived dog died in 1939 at the age of 29.
*Longevity in domestic dogs depends on the care they receive, their breed, body size and environment but generally speaking, larger breed dogs have a shorter lifespan than smaller.
Many giant dog breeds average only 7 or 8 years, while it is very common for a small breed dog to live 20+ years....Another great reason to have a dinky dog!
